WWII Navy Nurse Keeps the Books in Order

U.S. Navy Nurse Ensign Ardith Brown, (NC), USNR, keeps her books in order and up to date as part of her duties in one of the enlisted men’s wards. In the background is the “wagon” in which are kept the charts of the individual cases in the ward. A blinker on the board before her will call her attention to the needs of a patient, who has only to press a button at his bed. Photo circa 1944.
