Navy Nurses Model Uniform Stockings
For the first time, beige stockings became “regulation” for members of the Navy Nurse Corps to wear with street uniforms on 1 January 1945. Lieutenant Junior Grade Ann Davidson, NC, USNR, wears the lighter-color stockings while Lieutenant Mary R. McHale, NC, USNR, wears the black type formerly designated as correct. Nurses may still wear the black hose until stocks are exhausted.
