Woman Marine Checks Out Pilot Pre-Flight

Corporal Priscilla Wilson, of Braintree, Massachusetts, checks out Marine First Lieutenant Hugh R. Moore, of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, before he takes off on an operational flight from the Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point, North Carolina. A graduate of the Marine Corps Women’s Reserve Indoctrination Training School and the Control Tower Operators’ School, Corporal Wilson works in the Operations Office, where it is part of her duties to give the pilot his weather report, take his flight plan and keep track of the flight until the plane has reached its destination or returned to the base.
