Women Railroad Workers at the Roundhouse
Women wipers employed at the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad roundhouse in Clinton, Iowa, cleaning one of the giant “H” class locomotives. Women took over many jobs during the war, including maintaining trains used to carry critical war materials and troops. April 1943.
