Top-Notch Mechanic Rebuilds Airplane Engines
A top-notch mechanic, 20-year-old Mary Josephine Farley expertly rebuilds airplane engines in 1941. A licensed pilot who had already made several cross-country flights, she would go on to become one of the first to join the WASP program in 1942 after being contacted personally by Jacqueline Cochran.
