Ethel Thulin (later Kudlack) grew up in Clifton, New Jersey, and after working at The Presbyterian Hospital in Newark before the war, she joined the Army Nurse Corps in July of 1943. Assigned to the 97th General Hospital, she was stationed in England, France and Germany and worked as a Nurse Anesthetist treating the wounded. After leaving the Army Nurse Corps in February of 1946, she returned to Clifton to marry and have children. She passed away on February 9, 2014 at the age of 92.
