Doris Kent

Doris Kent served as a US Cadet Nurse during World War II. She married Kyle Kent, who served as a marine during the war and graduated from the University of Missouri School of Veterinary Medicine on the GI Bill when the war was over. After he graduated, they moved to Green City, MO, a rural town in northeast Missouri. There, they owned a farm, opened a vet clinic, and raised their family of six children. Doris Kent is a strong woman who has served as an amazing female role model to 19 grandchildren and now 21 great-grandchildren (and counting!).

This tribute provided by her granddaughter, Sarah Cox.
